| Thanks to BoingBoing I discovered a company I think should be rewarded: Tom Bihn, a manufacturer of computer bags.
The (slightly cropped) image above is from Skeptomai. It seems he purchased a bag from Tom Bihn and took a peek at the care instructions. The English and most of the French are what you'd expect. However, the last two lines in French translate to:
"We are sorry that our President is an idiot. We didn't vote for him."
How could I not love that?
That's awesome. I just caught a local news segment on this in Seattle. They're playing coy about the whole thing. The owner, Tom, denied anything about it, saying that if he knew his French better, he would have noticed it earlier.
And what? Prevent the line from going out the door? Yeah, right. By the way, Tom's title at work is Prйsident-Directeur Gйnйral, and he's currently listening to the band La Bottine Souriante, a French Canadian band.
Anyway, it's a good advertisement. I'm stopping by the store tomorrow to buy one.
