Rushing for the Bottom 100: Chapter 1
On a weblog written by a blogger another blogger commented:
"Atari Sucks! Commodore Rules! I predict all the Atari boards will crash when the Amiga comes out."
Sorry, that was 1987.
This is what was written a few days ago: "You do take beautiful pictures, bring some beauty into this space, this last round was shameless, ugly, vengeful, hateful, condescending, racist, you name it. We’re at a big crossroads here. I resigned from the **** Board partially so I could work on this. Is the weblog world going to self-destruct? Believe it or not ******, you have some say in that. "
Notice I didn't name the writer or the blog where he/she commented? It's because it doesn't really matter. People in the know constantly remind the little people that if they don't follow than the enemy will win or our way of life will end.
What they mean is: "if you don't shape up I will lose my lofty position."
You know what? Every single blog in the ***** Top 100 could disappear tomorrow and all that will happen is a new Top 100 will spend a week discussing where the first 100 went wrong.
Then there'll be a scramble to see who gets to be NUMBER 1! Then charges of poor manners and hints of conspiracy and in the end we'll get another round of:
"***** SUX! ********* RUlZs! I predict all the **** BLGZ will crash if that %&% doesn't agree with ******."
