Temple of Me

Welcome. All web sites are temples to their creators. Temple of Me will reflect what interests me, Temple of Me. I am a husband, father (twice), American, and liberal. I live in a "Red state" in the South. I am nearsighted, ambidextrous and over 30. Actually, I'm 153.33% of thirty.

Bush and bin Laden

While writing this website I've always enjoyed watching the sudden appearance of similar posts. I told my wife last week I needed to write a post on why Bush's bad guys seem to prefer him as a leader than Kerry. Work went to hell and I didn't have time.

But now I don't need to. Take a look at a post by Aaron Swartz...

"As Reuters reported an letter from an al-Qaeda group said “it supported U.S. President George W. Bush in his reelection campaign, and would prefer him to win in November rather than the Democratic candidate John Kerry"

(Don't forget to read some of the hilarious comments.)

Then there is an editorial in the New York Times by Paul Krugman

Mr. Bush's "war on terror" has, however, played with eerie perfection into Osama bin Laden's hands - while Mr. Bush's supporters, impressed by his tough talk, see him as America's champion against the evildoers.

The local Republican campaign headquarters sold bumper stickers that called Kerry bin Laden's man. I, and obviously others, have long thought the opposite. If (a) al Qaeda really doesn't want Bush in power then why would they disrupt the coming election? A disruption would mean Bush stayed in power.

It's obvious what they want: Bush/bin Laden: Together Again in '04
