Steroids in Baseball Today?

"In 2001, Barry Bonds of the San Francisco Giants hit 73 home runs to break McGwire's record. Bonds, who has testified before a grand jury in a California steroids case, was not subpoenaed by the House panel." - CNN

Why?

If you want to find out about steroids in baseball today why subpoena a player who retired in 2001? Why don't you subpoena the most suspected player currently playing major league baseball?

Because you don't really care about steroids in major league baseball. You care about headlines. You know the suspected player will just remain mum on lawyer's advice. No glory quotes there.

I really don't care about the records. I know players have taken performance enhancing drugs for decades.

On the other hand, I am very interested in my current Congress. Rep. Thomas M. Davis III (R-Va.) have you ever taken an illegal drug? Sir, have you ever had alcohol at lunch and returned to work at Congress?

Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) what drugs do you use?

Rep. Henry A. Waxman (D-Calif.) have you ever known of another Congressperson using any drugs, legal or illegal?

Rep. John Sweeney, (R-N.Y) would you support mandatory drug testing for all members of Congress?

I don't expect any answers. The ones hunting witches never answer for their actions.
