So ends part one of Jeneane Sessum's trip to Holiday Inn Airport in Buffalo, NY.
For her over $500 stay she and her family had a lousy time, suffered from racism, incompetence, and inept management. She did what many others have done. She complained. She received a templated response offering her a $50 coupon off her next stay.
It must be a policy to give 10% (minus tax) for complaints. Jeneane mentioned that she still wasn't 100% satisfied as Holiday Inn guarantees. She offered a compromise. She'd give her $50 coupon to Atlanta's Children's Hospital so a traveling relative of a sick child could spend the night near the hospital. Since $50 doesn't cover a night at one of their hotels she asked if they'd match her contribution.
I, for one, no longer believe the 100% satisfaction guarantee and will not stay again at a Holiday Inn, InterContinental, Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Crowne Plaza Hotel, or Hotel Indigo.
