The other night on David Letterman he had a nice little piece. It was a plea from the Bush administration for the media to let go of the Dick Cheney - Mad Hunter story. The administration suggests some better Dick Cheney stories:
Leaking the name of a CIA operative
Stonewalling Federal prosecuters
Shady Halliburton dealings
Sweetheart tax giveaways to fat-cat contibutors
Call for extended drilling to benefit oil buddies
Efforts to block campaign finance reform
Being in pocket of big business
Allowing lobbiests to author energy legislation
Secretly crafted health care proposals which benefited pharmaceutical companies
Manipulation of intelligence which led to unneccessary war

It'd be fun to see Cheney get frustrated at a press conference:
"Mr. Cheney, about this hunting accident-"
"Dammit, what do you EXPECT!? I'm a jumpy old man with a BAD HEART! I've had, like, 15 STROKES -- I'm lucky I can use my trigger finger at all! You know I can't even SEE anything out of my left eye half the time!? Didn't know THAT, did you!?
I have a LOT OF STRESS, you know!! Fifty different powerful people pushing me in different directions, any one of them could break me and send my whole family to the poorhouse -- I work every day with a moron boss who thinks the most important issue in the world is keeping a few gays from registering for CHINA PATTERNS at Bloomindales -- HOW STABLE would YOU be!? You wanna walk a mile in my shoes, buddy!? No? THEN SHUT UP!! I swear the next person who asks me about that hunting accident -- I WILL SHOOT YOU IN THE FACE!!"
At this point, Cheney snatches a gun from a Secret Service agent, then drops it as he clutches his chest and collapses, twitching... and still trying to scream profanity.
Then a commentator comes on to explain to us rubes what Mr. Cheney said, and what he actually MEANT.
