Dear God
I'm not on the bleeding edge of the Blogverse. This is a backwater blog. So when I stumbled on a letter addressed to George W. Bush, he who doesn't like black people, I thought it was new. It isn't. It's at least six years old. You can read about it at snopes.
Really. Read it. It's a funny take on the hypocrisy of those who take the bible literally.
I didn't reprint it here because there's no need. But I wanted to post about it so I could quote the email from a friend responding to my email about the letter.
Thanks for another reminder that the word of God is subject to interpretation and that most people pick and chose which of his laws to follow. In this decade it appears that we chose which laws to pontificate about based on who they will bring to the polls or how much money can be brought into a political campaign or televalgelist's pocket.
Exactly.
