George Harris
The following isn't through any official source. I picked it up by keeping my ears open.
George W. Harris Jr.was a prominent local businesman whose Citrus and Chemical Bank was the cornerstone of his career. Though he died in January those he helped won't forget his good works. One local organization, Youth and Family Alternatives was the recipient of some of his kindness and hard work. They will remember Harris by renaming a new youth shelter for the man.
Harris was key in assisting the organization find and support their Cornerstone Youth Shelter. The shelter is "a temporary home for young people when home becomes a place of conflict." Harris was descrribed by those who knew him there as a "sweet, nonassuming individual who never drew a lot of attention to himself." By naming the shelter for Harris the organization will draw attention to his selfless philanthropy.
