Brown

The other day I was asking my wife why she didn't have any Encyclopedia Brown books in her library.

Yes, she gave me exactly the same quizzical look.

I explained about the young reader series that featured a very smart boy in town and how he solved mysteries. I loved them as a child.

She still didn't know who I meant, but being a good librarian she did research and found the answer. He's been updated!

Encyclopedia Brown, yes! Brother had all of those when he was a boy. I wasn't so interested in them.
